FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q. Will you send me pics of the animal before I purchase?

A. We try very hard to accommodate reasonable photo requests. We also go to a lot of effort to individually photograph and list some very specific types of animals - i.e. our true red-tailed boas, blood pythons, and higher-end ball and retic morphs. Also, the photos in our various picture galleries were carefully selected because we feel that they best represent the animals that we have to offer you from our breeding groups and offspring. If you have something particular in mind - i.e. "I'd like a very high orange/high white Burmese," it will make it much easier to get pics than if you say "I want photos of all of your baby Burmese pythons," or "I want pics of all of your normal ball pythons." When you consider that our collection consists of a few thousand animals and most of our time is spent maintaining, breeding, and making sure that those animals are at their best, superfluous photo requests can be difficult to meet. So in a nutshell, if you're very specific, we'll have a much easier time getting photos to you.

Q. Does NERD take trades for animals?

A. Depending on the species, morph, age & condition of the animal, we may consider trades. All trades will be made at the owner's discretion. NERD does not ship first in any trades.

Q. Can I buy adult breeders from you?

A. This is a question we field on a daily basis. Seeing as how we're in the business of breeding reptiles, we rarely have animals of breeding age available for sale. Anything that is breedable or approaching breeding age has typically already been slated for a project here at our facility. On occasion, we may part with older animals, and you will find them listed in the Sub-Adult/Adults For Sale section of our Availability list.

Q. Why didn't you return my e-mail?

A. We make every attempt to return e-mails promptly, but with our high volume of mail received on a daily basis, this isn't always possible. Please make sure that you include something regarding the nature of your e-mail in the subject line so we don't accidently pass over it. Also, if you are e-mailing for general care information of certain species, animal availability, ordering info, etc., please visit those pages on our website first, as you may find your questions already answered.

Q. Can I come and visit your facility? Can I bring my reptile(s) with me?

A. NERD is open to the public on an appointment-only basis. We appreciate 24-hour advance booking for tours or appointments. Facility tours are $8 per person. We reserve the right to refuse walk-ins. As a general rule, unless you are bringing in an animal for us to inspect, we prefer that you leave your reptiles at home. In the event that you bring animals with you, they must be contained at all times and left in a designated area. We do not allow uncontained animals from outside sources to be carried freely throughout our facility.

Q. Do you do international orders?

A. Absolutely! We are very familiar with both import and export processes. For more information, please visit the International Orders section of our Terms & Ordering Page.

Q. What methods of payment do you take?

A. We accept many methods of payment, as outlined on our Terms & Ordering Page. We highly recommend that you read this page prior to placing your order. If you have any questions concering our terms, please do not hesitate to contact us!

A. Again, see our Terms & Ordering Page for shipping info. Unless noted otherwise, listed prices do not include shipping.

NERD's operating hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Eastern Standard time, Monday - Saturday. We receive an extremely high volume of calls throughout the course of the day, so please be patient when trying to get through. Also, we attend several reptile shows every year, and this will affect the days & times that we are available to answer the phone. When calling, please let us know your name & what the call is specifically regarding, as it will help us direct you to the appropriate person much faster.

Our facility is open to the public BY APPOINTMENT ONLY! Appointments must be made a minimum of 24 hours in advance.
