You know...we really don't do too much with them anymore. We have a couple, but it's not a project we're seriously pursuing.

Very cool snakes though, in the right hands. Very smart & "vocal."

I have been trying to get a pair for some time! The only one that came along was a lone male for a very large price tag, and I passed (I'm a college student for crying out loud!)
Keep posting pics though!

There is a guy in south Africa that knows quite a bit about them and explained the difference between the two (sebae and natalensis)

The aprents of mine are the only adults in the UK and they are about 8-9ft so yeah compared to normal rocks they are dwarfs

8-9 ft. isn't small. Plus they are capable of hitting 14 feet (wild, I don't know about captivity)

8-9 ft is small when your talking about sebae reaching well over double that and in captivity ive yet to find any over 10ft which when you considor how much they get to eat in captivity you would genreally see larger animals in captivity, there are however natural over laps in the wild and they are known to intergrade with sebae in these areas which would of course lead to larger animals

Yes, 8-9 feet is small compared to Sebae, however 8-9 feet is still a lot of snake. I will have to dig out the article when I get home, but I know I have read of them hitting 15 feet in the wild. I believe it was the Barkers that had a 12 foot Natalensis, though I will have to double check.
