Who has the biggest Ball

My biggest is about 2000 grams. Not an extremely big animal. I know there are some big'uns out there, post'em if you got 'em.

This is my second biggest, as I don't have a pic of my biggest. She is about 1800 grams.

5 lbs is just over 2200 grams. Not as big as some, but bigger than mine.

I love when this question comes up. The largest I have is a 3300g and 21yrs old female. An acquantence of mine had three at 5' 11" and from 4800-5400g.

My largest girl is over 3k grams and will eat 3 jumbo rats at a time! She'll then go off-feed digesting for something like a month! Then she wants more! She doesn't know when to stop! A ball I sold awhile back that NEWReptiles has is over 4k grams. I've heard of bigger, seeing is Believing!

Can't remember the breeder, but the name was well known,he had a picture of a 600g spider breeding a (his words) 6000g female.
I would like to know what you guys think the correct weight for a royal is.
Lets say a WC girl of about 15yrs.

Huh mine is 2 foot, and eats 2 hoppers. :oops:
I hope mine does not take that long to get 3-6 foot and put on some major weight.

It also has to do with genetics... some snakes are just not going to get huge (long) no matter how much you feed them, they just get fat.

Some balls though will only feed when they have completely digested the former meal. And there are others who will eat like pigs none stop. My female will eat and eat for a month or so then STOP! for like a a month or 2. Then it starts all over. She will also change from only wanting large prey to only pinky rats. Some times Balls can bea real pain in the :076: !!!

I just picked up a 2100 gram female. She is my biggest then comes a female someone gave to me she is 2000 grams. I would love to see a 4800 gram one. It has got to be thick.

Feeding more is not always better. It can shorten the life of the snake and ive heard from a few well known breeders of some of their females that were fed what they could eat and ended up being huge but not producing eggs well at all.

You don't want a Fat animal, you want a big animal. There is a BIG difference. You always want a male that hasn't been fed like crazy as they can become lazy breeders.

What do you consider a jumbo? I have females that size and I can't imagine them eating even 1 jumbo. Three jumbos would be almost 50% of the snakes total body weight.

I know of one that is actually 6' long but I think she is a little skinny for her size....dont know the actual weight though

good day! my friend's ball python seems huge. i dont know if it has something to do with our country's tropic climate.(Philippines) its 5years of age,5'8'',and 4500grams. its an eager feeder. she'll eat until she wants to eat. i think she's obese. bytheway her name is 'Colossa'... :biggrin2:

~2700g but she's gravid...so we'll see how big she is after she drops her load.

She eats everything and anything. ONCE, just to prove a point, I fed her a small piece of warmed raw pork chop...struck and wrapped it up like a champ. She always acts like she's hungry, even if she just ate 2 rats.
