In y'alls opinion, which ball python video is best for acquirring more knowledge about breeding?
I saw a post on here about 11 folicles and hopefully 11 eggs. Is there any info out there about to feel and what to feel for? Or is this just a learned thing through observation?

Thanks

That is one of the most important things when you breed snakes..... kind of like watching the grass grow.

I have only seen the VPI video and that is great!

When you palpate for follicles you are trying to feel for the developing ovum, the future egg! If you hold the female and let her crawl back into the box(cage) at a 45 degree angle you GENTLY apply pressure with your thumb on her back and a few fingers(tips pointed into her belly towards the spine) and start around the mid section. You have to let her slither through your fingers and you are looking for small marble like shapes..... remember this "Blip, blip, blip..... as they pass over your fingers..... concentrate while this is happening..you have to get just the right pressure and make sure the angle is right...a 90 degree to the box makes her struggle. Make sure she is crawling into her cage at a waist height minimum. If she has food in her do not do it... after some effort with a number of girls you will start to understand what a follicle feels like as opposed to digesting rodents..... Watcfh the girls...if they seem to seek out the cooler temps and she does not want to eat ...that is a girl to watch....a good time to try this is AFTER a shed. It is a bit hard to explain but you are in the right place for an attempt!! Kev

I have Barkers and Sewards and both are ok, Sewards would have been my first choice but unfortuantly it wasnt the one I bought first. Much more DETAILED info on the Seward video. I think its a better buy.
