Hey all, I'm new her and just wanted to show you guys this. I recently finished building a large cage for one of my 3 burms that's almost outgrowing her 55 gal. The thing is basically a huge box, 6 foot long by 2.5 feet wide by 1.5 feet tall with some wheels to move it. The front I made 2 fold down doors with acrylic panels to view through. It's made of 1/2" ply with 2x4's supporting the bottom to keep the weight down. Here's some finished pics...

Hope you like (I'm just a beginner at this)

p.s. - I plan on adding another on top of this when my male gets big enough, what should I do for structural support(the top is held up by 6 1x2's only)?

make sure you seal it really well with a varnish or lacquer, let it dry for a couple of weeks(just to be safe). You may want to consider putting the cage on a platform, you wouldn't want to have to get on the floor to get a large boid out, it leaves your face open to a feeding response, otherwise it looks great!!
