Yep, I got that part down pat. Just the other day as I was cleaning cages (attempting to clean cages?), one of my female Jamps went psycho on me. She's normally one of the more docile snakes in the room, but on this day, she was just flailing about with an open mouth, trying to hit anything she could. She latched onto the water bowl, the lip of the cage, the edge of the glass, the hook, and tried for any part of my she could get to. After about a minute of total insanity (and me using the above referenced words) she dropped back down to a low idle and gladly came out and into a RubberMaid so I could clean.

So, should I not rub those rats all over me before cage cleaning/handling? :017:

Raaagh, I had a few days like that when we moved... Everybody went psycho, peeing, biting, whatever they felt like doing. Then they had some other problems... RRRH! But, it's all better now :)

...Just gotta keep remembering the GOOD times, when they're being all nice, and pretty lookin', and stuff. :)

My stupid fat ass bitch of a borneo escaped from his cage last night!! He knocked over two of my babies rubbermaids and I couldnt find him. He was curled up under my desk and hes so fat it was actually resting on him. Arggg

Jordan, it was an escape that did it for me too. Totally our fault -- only happened because of the move, something wasn't set up properly -- but we spent all night looking for her (this was AFTER the same snake had already bitten me solidly on the hand). Found her the next day hiding under the stove -- she thanked me for putting her back by thrashing so hard I thought she would break her back.

Thankfully, she hasn't been nearly as psycho lately... And nobody else has escaped!!

I laughed my tail off when I saw this post. Nothing quite so random as shouting Bob Saget! in the middle of a conversation! Or, am I missing some connnection? Either way, it made me laugh! - Brian

I know the feeling. Other then spot cleaning I normally do a full clean out on Sat. by sunday someone has let go that load they must have been holding back just waiting for the enclosure to be cleaned. Then the others decided well if one did it then hey so should I.
One of our 5ft females got Lori good the other day. Lori had just got done cleaning the enclosure because it looked like a great dane had been in there and within a couple hours of Lori cleaning it she let out just enough to be annoying and have to clean it out again.
