View Full Version : How big do female emeralds get? This big....

This is a recently acquired animal that I would consider to be a 'large' female Basin. She just went to the bathroom before the pic so she is 'empty' in the photo (she had two very large rats in her). She is very close to or heavier than the 10 pound mark, so for those who might wonder how big a big emerald is, well here ya go!

I was bitten by a 6' emerald about 15 years ago and that was the first and last time. I have a good collection of emeralds and have never been bitten by any of the ones I own. Maybe they know not to bite the hand that feeds them mice and rats!
