Question for Kara in regards to Mice

How do you setup your FB Mice Units to actually produce and not double as a undeground fight pit for mice to beat the crap out of each other.

WHats your male to female ratio 1.5 seems to result in disaster for me

with my FB racks i use a 1.4 ratio. with mice
Hamsters 1.3
Rats 1.2

Just my 2 cents

I also will seperate the weinlings and put them in the cage right away so that they grow up with each other, this for me seems to cut down on the fighting pit

I set them up 1.8 w/no problems. Some squabbling here and there, but no real buttkicking on a wide scale. Once a group is set up I don't introduce new mice to it - that's when fighting tends to happen the most IME.

I use cat litter pans that slide into a rack. Each pan has 1.3 mice and they do great! !
