can you explain to me why labs aren't as common as one would think they should be theyve been around a while now........ive heard so many stories ranging from a breeder screw up to weak genetics like the green burm thang. Was Bob the one who originally brought them in????

I'm hearing its the weak genetics. I've got a female Lab. I wanna try to do something with when she gets bigger. Hopefully they will still be in demand.

I heard weak genetics as well, though I do not believe that 100%.
I know a few people who have large lab's, all of which are breedable size and are all perfectly healthy. But, we can not say if and what the problem is until we have scientific studies done, which will most likely never happen.
I have heard all the rumours that Bob inbreed too much, and all that but there is no proof to say that is true or not.

All right the skinny on the Labs. The labs for the most part have great genes better then the greens. The problem is timing when Labs showed up the burm market was on the way down. Big snake pepole were turning to retics as the big snake to breed. Burms were sheveled or sold off. Bob I believe sold all of his to fund other projects, like the granite burms who did appear and did get the burm people excited. Mark Bell up untill 2 years ago was proably the largest supplier of Labs, normal and albino. I believe he sold his to make room for other projects. Labs do have a big following now that they are scarce at shows and on lists. At NERD we hope to have some this breeding season. I have a studly male Lab and an albino Lab female that should go. Stay Tuned. :smt023
