I got my balls to start breeding again and it is my conclusion that the simplest things tend to work the best. This is what happened if anyone cares. I left from CA to go to Boston for two weeks...and someone (most likely the landlord) pumped up the heat in our rooms to over 110C! My door was closed, or else they would have been dead the first night. I think this disrupted their breeding, because they would not breed for one month after that. All the plants died in our apartment, the surfboard wax melted everywhere and my room temp was 85 degrees for two weeks straight. Anyhow, I stuffed the males cage with newspaper very tight, as he had been acting nervous since I came back, I sprayed the cage down and luckily there was a huge rain storm recently. This said, I think the most active ingredient was the packing of the cage, this really calms males down, at least in my experience. I still cannot feel any follicles, and they were breeding from October-December 20th as far as I saw.
Q: when do follicles tend to be evident, and when is too late?

If you missed out, or breeding didn't take, how tough is it to re-cool the snakes?
How long do you need to let them cool and what are the odds of initiating breeding after that?

Thanks

im going to tell you what i know, but then you can double check with kara,justin,kevin...etc. I know you can breed snakes all around the year.. and I know when i had mine breeding i cooled them 2 weeks before, then i put them together and later that night they wre breeding. but when my male died of getting burnt on something from excaping the next day i put the females heat back up...i know that didnt help u much.... but two weeks prior i think is good for cooling, it worked for me
