I got my balls to start breeding again and it is my conclusion that the simplest things tend to work the best. This is what happened if anyone cares. I left from CA to go to Boston for two weeks...and someone (most likely the landlord) pumped up the heat in our rooms to over 110C! My door was closed, or else they would have been dead the first night. I think this disrupted their breeding, because they would not breed for one month after that. All the plants died in our apartment, the surfboard wax melted everywhere and my room temp was 85 degrees for two weeks straight. Anyhow, I stuffed the males cage with newspaper very tight, as he had been acting nervous since I came back, I sprayed the cage down and luckily there was a huge rain storm recently. This said, I think the most active ingredient was the packing of the cage, this really calms males down, at least in my experience. I still cannot feel any follicles, and they were breeding from October-December 20th as far as I saw.
Q: when do follicles tend to be evident, and when is too late?
