View Full Version : Breeding/Temp question

I've got a question that I thought somebody here may be able to help me with.

One of my ball pythons went off feed and started cool seeking even before I dropped the temps so I decided to put my male in with her and I witnessed breeding a lot from them long before anybody else. I also believe (I've never bred snakes before so I don't know but it was a big bulge for a girl that hadn't eaten in months) I saw ovulation.

My question is, should I move her to a warmer tub since she should be done breeding? Her tub hits normal temps during the day but the night drops lower than normal because of the cycling. I don't want to raise the temps in her rack because everybody else is still going at it. I have another rack with younger snakes that isn't being cooled that I could move her to if that would be the wise thing to do, I just thought I'd ask.

Thanks.

Chris

Chris,
If she ovulated...She's gonna need HEAT! Yes I'd get her set up so she has a place thermoregulate.
