Since we've discussed upcoming & hopeful goals in a previous thread, I thought it would be fun to see what everyone has accomplished thus far in terms of prior herp-related goals.

Go ahead, do some braggin'! :smt023

I crossed "perfect" Womas off of my to-do list in '04...that was a personal biggie for me, and they've gotten better with every shed.

Mouse colony is getting in gear, so phase one is done there. Phase 2 will be optimizing production.

More to come...don't want to jinx it yet. ;)

Successfully bred Spilotes pullatus pullatus and they were the first snake eggs we had ever incubated, rofl. Talk about luck ;) Her double clutching was an added bonus.

Since I'm still a NOOB, pretty much, I'm just proud of having kept Fury (my first short-tail) successfully happy and healthy for over a year now.

'Course I couldn't even have done that without a lot of help!! :smt006 :smt038 :smt038 :smt038

Well, I have been a herper for less than 6 months.

I guess in a way, I'm proud that my quarentine procedures (thus far..let's hope they'll still be big and healthy in another two months, although i think the geckos would have shown symptoms by now, if they were infected) have saved my breeder pair of crested geckos. The other two I obtained (from a less than reliable source) died. It is possible that the two I obtained from that less than reliable source had that new killer crested gecko parasite diesease (acreptiles has a good article on it, with the correct name). The other two geckos did go to the vet, and a necropsy was done, showing at least one small intestine abscess, which by the size, was there before i purchased the little guy. The vet thought it was bacterial.

I successfully converted my ball to f/t, but he was eating prekilled..so not too big of a switch.

And I suppose, while this is invert related, I successfully performed a bit of surgery on my Avicularia huriana, and she's doing fine. She got a toe and the first section of the leg toward the toe stuck in a molt. Section was removed, nu skin applied..this was about 2 weeks ago, and she stuffed herself with crickets last night.

I also successfully rehoused the fastest T I own without a problem, but that turned out to be easier than I thought it was going to be :P

Well, I'd have to say that the finest collection of gtp's west of the Mississippi live here with me!!! I'm pretty pleased with the collection I've been building up over the last couple of years purchasing babies, yearlings and a couple sub adults and it's very exciting watching them come of age!.

I've currently got my first pairings together now with pretty good chondro porn going down so am really keeping my fingers crossed for success. It will be the culmination of a long time dream to see pearly whites hopefully one day soon!!

Sticking with Ball Pythons right now. Working with 5 proven mutations and 1 unproven, yet striking. I started cooling VERY late this year, so I'll let you know. In the past two years I worked with my very young collection, produced and sucessfully hatched at a 72% hatch rate. Always trying to get better and read everyhting I can get my hands on!

Wishing everyone success!

Well, I wanted to get a Albino Burm for the longest now...and I finally have. Thanks NERD. One of my major goals for the future is to start planning that guy a final home. But, also I plan on getting into breeding soon, not sure what.

I have built my female numbers up to 9 females and keep feeding them on schedule to have 8 of the 9 big enough to breed next year.
