Vision- Too flimsey, I don't like them at all.
AP- Very nice, but pricey.
Boaphile-I like 'em. Nice cages, and a good value.

I love boaphiles, but it looks like he is still not making anything bigger than a depth of 24".
If you go with 8' x 2' rather than 6' x 3' it will all basically come out in the wash as far as floor space though.

They are probably the best quality you can get, if cost is not a big thing for you, go with that.

And although I love Nerd...I have to disagree with you Tammy...after seeing both at Daytona, I believe that if money isn't an option, Habitat Systems beats them all hands down. One day when I'm a rich and famous chemist, I hope to have several with mahogany veneer in my study.
For the money and the method they use to heat them, I say AP. The thing I don't like about boaphile cages is that feces and urates can get lodged into/next to the glued on plastic heat mat. (edit: I looked back at Boaphiles website and it appears that they are now starting to put the router in the heat tape under the cage...so my argument is no longer valid)

I have owned none of those.. So this is merely a general opinion. If you have the know-how or any close friends with wood-working skill or plastic-skill.. Build your own cage! I don't say this in the result you fail and its horrible or something similar but in the respect that if you built your own cage you would learn some things and it would most likely be alot cheaper and something to be proud of. (sense of accomplishment)
I toyed with many of the cage companies mentioned and I couldn't find any that suited me well.. one would have something I wanted in a cage but lacked something else and vice-versa.. So here I am no wood-working experience and getting ready to assemble a wood cage that's essentially going to be 10ftLx30x30 and with personalized additions and options suited for me. Anyways.. Thanks for reading.. hope this helps someone. ; )

appreciate everyone opinions, what worries me about most companies is that they dont put actual bulbs with the cages except for boaphile and AP has the option but then you cant stack them.
are these cages retain enough heat witht he belly heat or heat tape that they can reach optimal temps in a room temperature room like a bedroom or living room, are bulbs that un-neccessary?
thansk

z24wkit...AP does have a fluorescent bulb option and you can stack them (they router a place for the cord into the plastic).
Are you speaking about an incandescent bulb?
What's your room's temperature (day/night/summer/winter)?

i know you cans tack AP, but flourecent is not neccessary for snake i heard b/c they eat whole prey(it does not hurt but doesnt not help i have been informed), anyway yeah i was referrrig to incadescent bulbs to provide more heat then the heat tape or heat pads they put in there. The room temperature is always around 68-70 maybe a little cooler in the summer
