new tegu ownerw/ some questions

my baby tegu does not seem to be an agreesive eater, does seem ok?
I have had him for 48 hours only
He likes crickets and pinkies
Not found of meal worms and fruits and veggies
Any suggestions or just patience?

I think this is when they hibernate. There metabolism will slow down a lot, so don't worry in no time you will have a vicous little monster. LOL

Also it depends on who you got him from, our tegus are sweethearts but they love their pinkies. Stay away from mealworms until their body is about 12-14 inches in length just to be safe. also,,,mine love their ground turkey.
Here is out feeding regimen:
<Monday: Pinkies
Tuesday: Groundturkey w/ fruits and dusted with repcal and mutlivit.
Wed: 100 Dusted large crickets,
and so on....
a three day feeding schedual works great for tegus .
Also yes they might be goign into hibernation.... ugh. sry for that mate unless oyu want to breed. But keep us informed.
