I am not into burms, I'm really just a boa guy, but I've been getting intereted in them lately. I was curious to know how much selective breeding goes on with burm breeders to produce pretty or interesting normals. All of the breeding I've seen has just been for morphs, but like I said I haven't been involved in the big python community. And if any one knows a breeder who does produce nice normals I would appreciate it if you could point me to them.

Thanks -Jamie

I am getting ready to breed my Het. Normal. I am hopeing for a Het. Albino but half the clutch is almost guaranteed to become Het Norm.

What is your female het for? Albino?

I believe so. I know she carries the Het. gene. She has a beautiful rainbow color when the light hits her.

She can be het for albino or any other morphs, not just het.

As much as I know none of the Burmese gene is shown when the animal is only hetro. So the ""rainboa color" on her has nothing to do with her genetic background.

hettferal is what I was told she was. She has a constant rainbow effect when the light is on her. Her mother was the same way.

Iridesence doesn't make a snake a het...

Many snakes do. Its the way lights reflects off ridges or bumps on scales. id go to the breeder and ask about it.(the het)

I don't trust him anyway. He abused her. I bought her to rescue her and just listened to him babble on so I could just get her and go. That was a year and a half ago. That Het. thing was just something that stuck. Hetfferal. I don't know we'll see. I'm going to breed her with a male albino anyway, and I guess I'll find out when the clutch hatches.
