Now I use bug stop on my insect colonies little a's cant get out, now I applied to a cage that is not cricket proof and its made of wood and the little you know whats are still getting out. Does this bug stop stuff not work on wood. Do you think masking tape would make it slippery for em?

Yes this further prooves my idiocy when it comes to cage construction....
and proves why I love galvanized troughs and the Agway :smt007

Um I coat the top 3" of the container with petroleum jelly for my lobster roaches. I'm not sure if this would work with crickets though? :smt017

Run it around the inside top of your container. Cricks can't get a foothold on it. May take a couple runs around tho. Beats having to keep putting stuff around it since it lasts forever.

i read in REPTILES magazine about this guy who had a loose tokay in his animal room or something to that affect and he ate all stray crickets...sounds like a plan to me...but i think my dogs would have panic attacks thinking there are lizards on the walls...i can imagine it now...pit bulls huddled in the corner!
