He has only been fer F/T I sold him 2 a friend who had him in a vision cage with a Red Heat bulb laying on the metal grate So I'm assuming it is a burn. Anyways he gave him back do 2 he could not keep him anymore so I'm gonna try to heal him up. What a gorgous Snake he is.

The few burned snakes I've seen had much bigger scars/scabs than that. Ask him about medications. Specificaly antibiotic shots. A while back I posted about my retic having eye problems. The scrip from the vet had eye ointment and broad spectrum antibiotic shots. After the fourth shot she develoved blisters that scabed over like that on all injection sites. I can't recall the original antibiotic but it was pretty potent and burned her + allergic reation. Put her on amicacine after that and no more blisters. The scabs took a long time to heal and they looked like that, smallish, deep looking, near the tail and off to the side of the spine (a prime injection site for meds).

Looks like a thermal burn to me. But we are not vets.

And for the record, no one owes you an answer. People post when they know the answer to something so demanding an answer will not get you far.

In my humble opinion I suggest that as it is not an open wound leave as is. It looks (From Picture) as if the animal does not need treatment so the minor burn should be left to heal.

Any treatment such as antibiotics has a down side so leave it too Mr. Time and observation. The burn site is dead tissue so will scare but this is unavoidable. Avoid creams that contain oils for reptile burns if you are determined to treat.

Try silvadene or neosporin cream before using antibiotic treatments.
