I'm about to get a couple of rack systems, not sure on what yet. I love how the freedom breeder racks look, but they are pricey AND I was curious to how the heck they hold humidity? I'm probably going to end up going with AP racks, but I'm curious about the freedom breeder as well.:)

How many snakes are planning on housing? I've heard nothing but good things about the freedom breeder racks, but they are very expensive. I have an 18 slot 1860 rack from AP and I'm very happy with it. My rack will hold 18 adult ball pythons and I paid $1145 versus roughly $2000 for about the same capacity from FB. I've only had my rack for a few weeks now, but it went together perfectly, seems very sturdy and is holding temps and humidity just as it should. The only thing that sucks is that the rack is so large (about 3'x3'x5.5') that the only way to get it out of the room it's in is to completely dismantle it. Won't really be a problem until I build a new house in 3-4 years though.

I'm not sure yet, but a lot... I was thinking about the 21 rack from Freedom Breeder... I just don't see how they hold humidity with the ventilation they give in their cages. That's the main thing I'm worried about. Basically all of my other cages are Animal Plastics, so I know they are a very reliable company, I just like the way the Freedom Breeders look compared to Rubbermaid Storage. Room is good with me, I have plenty of it. I'm deffinently getting casters on whatever I choose to go with though.

Freedom Breeders are an open air design. If you have a low humidity room, it could cause a bit of a problem. If you like the design, check out www.arscaging.com . Awesome racks and less ventilation at the top. I have been thrilled with mine!
