JUST MAKE SURE YOU KEEP INCLUDING ME!!! I CAN'T IMAGINE WHY YOU'D BE RUDELY ASKED TO STOP FOR BEING COURTEOUS... :smt023
Evidently someone felt we were "spamming" him and requesting him to buy things.

Oh well.

is there where we reply to stay on the list????????
Kara, some people are just anal about things. Anyone who replied rudely to your emails must have some anger problems. It seems most people do not care, and want the emails.

I'm feelin' a lot of pressure here... :lonly:
It doesn't matter to me either way whether or not people want to be alerted to deals & offers. I realize that folks around here may not want to receive any more mail then they already do - hence the usergroup option.
What bothered me was the fact that instead of a "could you please not send me any more e-mails like this" note, I got the following response right off the bat:
"UNSUBSCRIBE, stop sending me SPAM. An unsolicicated email requesting me to purchase goods or services is my definition of SPAM. I did not sign up on NERD's FORUMS to be the target of another source of SPAM I already get enough crap from slime balls. If I get another SPAM from NERD forums I will one, report them to Spamcop.Net and two, post the fact that I signed up on your forum and started getting SPAMMED by an administraator of the forum on the FAUNA BOI."
MEAN PEOPLE SUCK!
Be nice & I'll bend over backwards to help you...it's really quite simple.

i still would like to get the emails. how do i make sure i still get them. thanx
If you go to the top of the forum index, right under the NERD logo @ the top of the page you'll see a link for Usergroups. Click that, go to "Special Offer Alerts" and request a subscription.

Jeeez Kara- that really does suck. I cannot beleive someone said that to you. I feel offended by that, like all us extended Nerd Forum family members,LOL, just got kicked in the teeth! If it effects one, it effects us all, generally speaking.........

I for one like the emails. It makes the forum seem a bit warmer and more personal (yes i know its a mass email). It's also nice to see someone make the effort to keep you up to date with things. So many "mail lists" start off well and then after a few months they stop and you get one or 2 a year of the stuff they can't flog elsewhere - dont know why but you just dont get that feeling here.
What a numb-nut. What happened to the "Please do not send me messages anymore"? Spam sucks, but this is not spam. I think it is better to have it on a sign-up basis, but what happened to common courtesy? I mean, anyone that knows Kara knows she is one of the nicest people out there, and is willing to help with almost everything. This is almost sad that someone was so upset about this.... or maybe it's just the Oxycontin kicking in :smt005

Ummm, is it me, or when you register to be a member on this site, it asks if you wish to receive emails regarding special products and services. I seem to remember seeing that......Oh well, SUCKS that some people are like that. I would like to thank everyone who has a part in making this forum a great place. I am new here and love it.

Geez, Kara...there is always someone who has to be an asshole. Is he/she still using the forum?
He's never even contributed to a thread here, Sherry...just a lurker.
Would have been pretty funny to see him take it all to the BOI. "They were trying to give everyone a good deal on rodents & I was a jerk back to them, dammit!"
Takes all types, huh?

That's ashame that some people just can't express themselves in an intelligent way. By sending you such a rude email he/she must be compensating for something that he/she is lacking.

Well, now, I just hope he/she decides to go ahead and post it on the BOI. I am just soooooo in the mood to let loose on someone. Donnie just got out of the hospital after almost a week, minus a part or two, I've had a bad sinus infection and haven't been sleeping....my $10,000 power-assist wheelchair is broke and it won't get repaired until SOMETIME this week and I have a burmese python that I had fostered out to someone that came back to me while Donnie was in the hospital with an infection in his upper and lower jaw and that set me back a whole bunch of dollars at the vet (not to mention what it did to my temper). So....let him/her take it to the BOI. I'll just go into stress-release mode and take care of the jackass. :x
((((((((Sherry))))))))))))) Big hugs girl!!!!! Hope things pick up soon for you.

Thanks, girl. Having Donnie out of the hospital helps. He's awfully cranky so that must mean he's feeling better. I have to flush out the mouth of a 10-foot burmese tonight and give him his shot. He threw four of us around at the vet Friday. His mouth is very tender so if you don't hear from me tomorrow, send Kev down to make the snake let me go.
Sounds like a plan. Poor baby! I hope you opened a can of whoopass on whoever did that!

Oh, you can count on it. Actually Jonathan is the one who was fostering the burm. He's in the military and got sent off to school. His roomie is taking care of his other snakes but was told we would take care of the burm and he was not to do anything. The snake was absolutely fine when Jonathan left (he's been gone now just over a week). Now the snake isn't and I know the idiot roomie decided to try to clean the cage. He got the waterbowl out and the snake was without water for at least 5 days when we got the snake back. My friend Chris got the snake on Thursday night for me from the idiot roomie and that's when he found the snake's mouth messed up. Right now the idiot roomie is playing innocent. He's not...we found dirt imbedded into the scales on the head of the burm as well as the injury to his mouth. The idiot roomie is about to wish he'd never messed with my snake (this one was turned over to us by the former owner when she could no longer care for it). The best I can figure is he (by his own admission) decided to clean the cage and then got scared. Somehow during this interaction, the snake got injured. Since he wasn't supposed to have anything to do with the snake and we were to be called to clean and feed while Jonathan was gone, idiot roomie is in big freaking shit with me.
