I went to Pet smart today and got some hides I want to use in the BP cages I figured since they are plastic should be easy to clean. Any suggestions? http://www.petsmart.com/global/product_detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=84552444177 7013&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302026347&ASSORT MENT%3C%3East_id=2534374302023695&bmUID=1108444472 710

Mine seems happy in anything he can hide in, for the most part. Right now he has a shoebox and a terra cotta pot. I just change his shoebox when it gets dirty--plastic is nice though, because it's easier to clean. But I would wonder, if they are actually translucent, if your ball would feel secure enough in it.

I have placed on in a cage under lights just to see and from what I can tell not much light gets in at all. I am thinking of also shading the hide area somehow from the light.

i use jumbo dog crocks. turn it upside down and put a hole in it with a hole saw. if it gets dirty just run it through the dishwasher
