View Full Version : Questions for People.
I was in a pet store today and I was talking to this guy and he was talking about his snakes and what not. So I hear him say to me that he has been to NERD and that their biggest Burm is 15' and that he knows a bunch of people their and stuff. I was thinking wait is this right? lol. Anyways on to another thing. I am no expert in weird sorts of snakes but I was just wondering how much is a baby Wolmas worth<I hope that is right I'm not sure. Because this guy told me that a baby is worth 1500.00USD. He was also telling me how he plans on having 1500 eggs layed next month of different sorts of snakes. I am not sure if that is really possible, seeing I am not a breeder but it didn't sound realistic to me.
This one may sound stupid but here it goes do they breed Costal Carpets with ETBs or anything of that such. I was just wondering about all this stuff.
Thanks.

Sorry if any of those questions sound stupid.
they do breedcarpets with Green Tree Pythons, dont know about ETB's.. I wouldnt really know, but i think ive seen a bigger burm at NERD, but i actualy might of been looking at a retic.. i dont think a Woma baby is worth 1500, if i would breed em' id sell babies at like 250.. i know there not popular, but there nothing extremley rair and special... he must have alot of snakes to get 1500 eggs.. i think hes lieing to ya.. hopefuly u werent at petco.. ive learned to never believe what they say..

Yeah sorry about that I mean to say GTP. Anyways no I wasn't at Petco I was at some small local petstore. Sorry about mispelling Woma lol. I don't know much about them and I heard "Wolmas" when he said it. I know 1500 eggs that is alot of snakes to have laying.
I would really like to know about the biggest burm at NERD tho. Also another thing I thought was funny when he was telling me about burms and stuff like that he breeds them and stuff. I noticed that he had a 2'-3' burm in a five gallon tank. I don't know how it came up but we started talking about how big female burms get and I said they can get 17'-20' he said Noooo way a female burm could never get 20'. But yeah if someone from NERD could tell me what your biggest burm is it would be great!
Thanks.

I'm pretty sure Rosie's our biggest, and she's well over 18'.

Thanks Kara. I knew this guy was wrong :-). He made me feel dumb for a second there. He was like most Female burms don't get over 15' I was like are you sure? lol.
I mean because I have been researching burms for awhile because I have been wanting to get one and everywhere I read it said that females get to about 17'+.
PS- I ordered my Albino Burm from you guys Kara it should be here tomorrow morning! I can't wait.
He should know better then that! Baby is/was(no idea if she is still alive and kicking) right down the street from you guys. What town were you in Podo?? I was born and raised in Wisconsin.
I am in Milwaukee. He said his petstore started out as a Dog gromming place and he just started bringing snakes in from home. When I first saw the lay out of his tanks I knew he was crazy. He had (What I think were) adult BPs in 5 gallon tanks. There was alot more stuff but then this guy was trying to tell me the whole thing on how burms wont get much bigget than 15'. I looked on Kingsnake to find the guy his name is Miko Ortiz.

Baby is still around, although I have not yet made the trip up to see baby in person. I've seen recent photos though.
Baby is over at Serpent Safari, in Gurnee Mills, IL.
