Thats not a good idea. I think you can get the classifieds in another country. Instead of US ads.

yes they are. they just tend to be a little bit defensive if they're on a stick, but once i hold them like that, they will be as tame as BP :-p
how do i tame them? 1 word: try to handle them regularly and be patient. well, make it six then :D

can't you damage the baies spines while handling them when there babies

shadowsong

do you mean when they bite? i give more patience to babies, let them get familiar with touch before handling them. always put a stick on their head before taking the body. be nice and gentle so they wont bite.

SNAKEWISPERA

no,over here they say you cant touch them when there babies beacause it damages there spines

spines means tooth right? we can possibly damage their spines, only if when they bite. damaged spines will lead to mouth rot and refusing to eat. since i know how expensive they are in UK, i think its normal when the seller say like that :) just a preventive action

spinal bone is the bone going down there back,

lol my mistake then, i dont get the word and found this on wikipedia:
Spine (zoology), needle-like structures in animals
so i guess it means tooth :p

but i don't think it will damage their spines if we handle them right. once again, just a preventive action :)

I have yet to see a mean GTP in this country. Maybe because I have only seen CB ones. Why do people give these snakes a reputation as being nasty? All mine are tame as dogs. All my emeralds are as well.

Certain locales are know to produce more temperamental GTP's than others. Unless breeders are being really strict with the locales, I doubt as many of them have been produces out of those lines....and the WC ones were probably "nastier".

@ mike c: maybe because they are defensive, especially GTP from Biak. very nice snakes you have there. can you post a close up look for the black emerald..?
