cage hieght requirements

i am going to be buying some cages for my bloods....after seeing some boaphiles, i think that is what i am going to choose.

i was looking at the 4' x 2' x 1' cages. all of the cage manufactuers have told me 1' is ok for bloods.

since bloods lay on the ground and really don't climb much, is 1 foot of height ok, or do they need 18"?

1 foot high is fine, but dont forget, a one foot high cage doesnt mean its a one foot high door. The door is only going to be about 8 inches tall. You may want to step up to a 15 inch high cage so its easier to work in the cage. Just my experience.
