Her is a pic of one of my females ovulating. She has not had a meal since early January. The picture's not as impressive as seing it in person. Maybe it's the angle of the pic.

Great looking girl, definitely lumpy, he he. Is it me or is capturing an ovulation very difficult? It seems the females I have had ovulate do no ovulate as big as some of the others I have seen around the 'net....oh well, they lay eggs just the same.

Great shots Tony. I hope she throws some big fertile eggs for ya. Let us know when she lays.

yep somethings in there and to add theres nothing like seeing an ovulation in person as you stated earlier. Good Luck there looks to be some promise in those ovidcuts. What was she bred to

She was bred to a mojave.....I caught her ovulating pretty late at night. I was having trouble sleeping from a recent shoulder surgery, so I decided since I couln't sleep that I would check on the snakes.

Here is the readers digest version. Ovulation is the release of ova from the ovaries (ovarian follicles). The swelling is caused by the ova bunching up together before they enter the oviducts one at a time. When ovulation occurs it looks like the female has eaten a very large meal. Hope that helps.
