Here is a link to a 48 tub 6qt rack that a buddy of mine built. Heavy as hell, but very functional. Just don't plan on moving it by yourself.

Jason ,How tall was that rack? I have been thinking of building a new hatchling rack. It looks great.

Here is a rack that my buddy and I built. I used 41 qt sterelite containers that measure 34"x16"x6". It is heated with 3" flexwatt that is controlled by a helix DBS-1000. It is used to house my ball pythons and works great.....On a side note, this is the last rack that I will EVER weld. It was a lot more work that I thought, and I didn't save nearly as much money as I planned. Next time I will just give the money to Lindy and buy a freedom breeder.

batty,

I use melamine, routered shelf and sides to snake the heat tape under the back 1/3rd of the tub. It works great, but if they are large, put good casters on the during construction, melamine is HEAVY!

Tony,

I agree, I may make a few hatchling racks out of melamine this year, but I looked into having a similar 41 qt rack built by a friend. I had to pay for the materials and we were going to trade his welding for my building him a website... The materials will beat you down on one of those... I will just put up the cash for Freedom Breeders. I must admit, from the pic that does look like you did a great job!
