After many restless nights waiting for Nile (22'' BP) to shed, it finally happened! His first shed, I was so anxious but now very relieved -- especially since it appears to have come in one piece!

My question is, the shed is in a very compact ball right now. Does anyone have advice on how to unravel it carefully and in one piece? Any secret methods other than just being careful? Any help is appreciated!

Make sure it's moist, once it dries it sticks together & you'll never get it apart intact. If it already dried a bit you can put it in a rubbermaid with a small cup of warm or hot water to remoisten it. Then just roll it out, holding onto the head piece

Be careful, I did that once & forgot the house was up for sale. Needless to say it never sold & we ended up taking it off the market. Some people might not come over anymore also, which can be a good or a bad thing.

Wow those skins are nasty!!! I hope to have a progressive collection. The girlfriend really dislikes my BP.. and thinks the skin is 'grosssss!'. If she only knew.
