My young female that I got from NERD a little over a year ago was doing great with big fat jumbo rats, but the last couple of feeds she's been looking for more food pretty immediately upon consumtion. Jumbos used to last her a few weeks, now she eats it and digests it within a few days.

She's around 8 feet and I was wondering what else I could start her on. Are rabbits the only answer? If someone could let me know what I should feed her that would be fairly cost effective, I would be very appreciative.

Also, could ya let me know where I can buy the feeders in the Northern MA, southern NH area?

Thanks a lot.

well rabbits may be a good idea and if you wanna save money you can always raise them yourself its not hard otherwise feed her more rats per feeding

I'd go with rabbits if she's eight feet. If you don't have the resources to breed them yourself try to find a local breeder. I've found them for as low as .65 cents a pound. Good luck.

BTW does she eat f/t?

Go to rabbits, they are better for her. One, it is better to eat one meal. All things being equal you don't want her constricting with two or three rats in her stomach. Two, one rabbit has more usable calories for her- surface area (skin and fur) to volume (protien et al). You'll see a growth increase when you change her over. An eight foot female on rabbits fed once every 7-10 days will start putting on some good weight.

Thanks a lot guys, I cant wait to see my girl grow into a big tame monster. She's pretty good about feeding, she'll eat anything. Thawed, fresh, she's an eating machine.
