Albino Spiders represent our second Spider combo, as well as the first simple recessive x dominant combo we produced. The wait for the Albino Spider was a bit agonizing...any ball python breeder who has whiffed on their odds in a clutch knows what we mean! It took 3 tries to finally produce these saffron-and-white gems from Spider het-albino x Albino breeding, and the winning clutch hatched on March 1, 2003. Just like its Spider & Albino components, this combo is highly variable. We see rich matte-yellow snakes with a classic Spider pattern that hold their crisp contrast well into adulthood, as well as soft, almost translucent yellow animals with reduced patterns that tend to fade as they grow. |
