The original founding Woma ball was acquired directly from Africa & subsequently imported to the US. We've been working with this bloodline for almost a decade now & have seen some pretty fantastic results, especially in recent years. The Woma ball is a beautiful reduced-pattern mutation. They were initially named for the resemblance to the woma python (Aspidites ramsayii) that many specimens exhibit, particularly defined by a thin, highly banded pattern. The "super" (homozygous) form of the Woma ball is a "Pearl" - a creamy off-white snake with dark navy blue eyes. For unknown reasons, the homozygous Pearl is a weak gene & these animals fail to thrive due to inhibited motor skills. Fortunately, Woma balls mesh exceptionally weil with other mutations, often influencing pattern & coloration in unexpected ways. Check out the Woma x Lesser Platinum & Woma x Lemon Pastels for good examples of what this versatile morph can do!
