| Tokay geckos? Have we lost our collective mind? NO WAY! Here's NERD's answer to all the cute, friendly gecko species out there...you bet we're going to pick one that's "not for the squeamish!" These fantastic geckos have been overlooked in herpetoculture for years due to their nasty reputation as big biters and "trash lizards." We've always had a soft spot for the underdogs, and have really taken a shine to this gecko equivalent of the reticulated python.
As it turns out, captive-produced tokays can be tamed through consistent, gentle interaction with a keeper attuned to their behavior & needs. These geckos make a challenging AND rewarding captive for those willing to give them a chance & learn what it takes to really make them tick
