We are calling this mutation Caramel Albino; as we know this is the correct term for this appearance. The body is generally white, yellow, orange and lavender with a great deal of variation between individual animals. The pupil of the eye is red, and the iris an intense yellow-gold. These geckos show off best coloration when they're out and about, nighttime is the perfect opportunity to see one glow! Hatchling Caramel tokays start out with a light white and gold body that seems to have a blue wash. As these animals grow they change drastically in appearance. We are very excited about this project now that we know it is inheritable, and have several babies to raise as future breeders.
